Gansey to the Heat

According to the State Journal, Mike Gansey has signed a two-year deal with the Miami Heat.

Gansey, perhaps the most-beloved Mountaineer in history, went undrafted after hearing whispers of a potential first-round pick. It is believed, however, the much of the $1.1 million in the two-year agreement is guaranteed.

His college teammate, Kevin Pittsnogle, remains unsigned after turning down an opportunity to be a second-round pick of the Los Angeles Clippers.

Note: It appears that only a small portion of Gansey's contract is guaranteed, contrary to what I reported a few days ago. The rest of the contract is contingent upon Gansey making the roster.
